jam on it: plum hot jelly & almond butter

attention: this is a public service announcement

you may remember this

plum hot jelly

look, i know plum season seems like forever ago and forever again but

as tigresses do, sometimes i just need to roar about just those

things that need to be roared about.

this october in a jar tastes like heaven on the plate in feb.

i think it's the way the subtle fruity-sweetness wraps itself around the fatty nut butter and the firebirds fly up and out and give the tongue a wack.

...just roarin'

  2. I love plum jelly and your recipe with crab apples sounds heavenly! I've been enjoying the jams and jellies I've put up this year... today I had some divine strawberry chocolate jam...oh yummy! Love your site.

  3. Do you make your own almond butter?

I've been thinking of trying to make my own - I've read that it is pretty easy to do with a food processor. But right now I have a couple of commercially purchased jars sitting in my pantry.

  5. I'll anxiously await the results of your almond butter experimentation! And while you're at it - if you want to figure out a way to make some homemade Nutella as well - my 5 year old is addicted to the stuff!
