he loves me:
he loves my jams:
ok, ok, i know, i know!
it's summer and you want to jam,
right?
and here i am getting catty...
well, i promise...blueberries are falling off the bushes at my house. and we'll be having a hella good time with blueberries very soon!
but i couldn't wait that long to come and tell you that the folks at cans across america in conjunction with jarden home brands, the makers of ball® brand fresh preserving products are as excited as we are about the canvolution!
you know what that means?
it means that i have one of these:
and these:
to give-away!
to enter all you have to do is leave a comment saying: count me in! and let me know what fruit you would most like to learn how to jam this summer 2009 season (here's where i jam two fruits with one stone...see what i'm sayin?)
don't forget to leave your email address - which won't be made public - so i can contact you if you're the lucky winner.
winner will be chosen by that trusty random number generator, of course!
now hop to it!
'cause you need to comment by midnight this saturday august 9th to have a chance to win.
good luck homeys!
I would love to do an interesting peach jam recipe. I have a ton of peaches from my csa, too many to eat out of hand, and am thinking that I should start preserving them somehow instead of giving them away at work. :)
ReplyDeleteAhhhh...I love the label on the pot:)
ReplyDeleteHow about ...something with red peppers?:) For later in the season?
1) Thanks for giving me a reason to post and tell you how muich I love your blog (and yer kitties).
ReplyDelete2) I have 3lbs of peaches sitting here and a boyfriend who wants me to jam them so he can claim credit and give to his mom for christmas.
3) More interesting and unusual combinations of fruit and herbs.
4) low sugar jam ideas.

ReplyDeleteI'd jam some strawberries up, and I'm looking forward to making lots-o tomato sauce from all my fancy tomato plants that are taking over my garden!
count me in! what about a tomato jam??!! thanks.
ReplyDeleteCount me in! Maybe an Minty Apple Jam? Apples will be ready to harvest in a couple months.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win that! I just bought 2 copies of the book, one for me and one for my mom, but I could always give the extra to my grandma!
ReplyDeleteI would love to see garlic jelly or peach preserves.
How can you get the fruit through out the jelly and not all clumped at the top?!?
Well of course count me in!!! I would love to see how to do half fruit such as peaches (really any would do) sounds yummy.
ReplyDeleteOf course, count me in ! I'd love to find a strong pear jam. The ones I've made aren't peary enough. Hard to catch their subtle flavor.
ReplyDeleteRaspberry pepper jelly would be neat.
ReplyDeleteCount me in!! I would love to see something with mint! I have a lot of mint in my garden. Thanks for the great blog!
ReplyDeleteooh! ooh! pick me!
ReplyDeleteI've never tried pickling vegetables, and think that's the next attempt. or the crabapples growing along my route to work. dream fruits for jamming, that seem a geographical impossibility: elderberries.
